STEPPING STONES KC

Join us for an interactive music group where your child can socialize and build upon academic and social skills in a fun setting. This evidence-based program offers an opportunity for teens to connect with peers through musical experiences, while also nurturing early communication, physical, emotional, and social skills. Activities will center around drumming and songwriting experiences  but may also include singing, music exploration, stories, dancing/movement, chants, instrument-play, and more! Parents will have the opportunity to actively shape the group based on the needs of their child and family. Music groups are led by a Board-Certified Music Therapist, trained in adapting music to fit the needs of each child, facilitate healthy attachments, and build skills!

Each 60 minute group will include group and individual music time, games, and lots of social opportunities.

 

This group is designed for children 11-15 years old. There is an 8 child maximum.

Reschedules/make-up groups are usually available. Please notify us in advance of absences.
