STEPPING STONES KC

We are currently looking to add a music therapists to our team for a position beginning in Dec 2025/Jan 2026!
This will be a traveling position. We are open to working with music therapists who are looking for substitute work, long-term part-time work, or those looking to work full-time. The ideal candidate will be available to train and begin clinical work in December 2025.

 

Caseload

~6 clinical hours/week
2 mornings per week REQUIRED, Could grow to include more mornings and/or after-school hours (4-6pm)
Working in early intervention, schools, preschool groups, lessons, and seeing individuals with a wide variety of needs

 

Requirements

This position is right for you if:

-You are passionate about working with children of all ages and abilities.

-You feel confident leading groups and individual sessions, in a wide variety of settings.

-You are currently certified as a MT-BC or are able to seek certification.

-You are a skilled clinical musician, strong in voice and guitar, piano, ukulele, and drumming.

-You live in, or are willing to live in the Kansas City area (based in Johnson County.)

-You are flexible and willing to work afternoon/early evening hours and potentially on Saturdays for special events.

-You are a dependable, responsible, and communicative team player.

 

Experience in childcare and/or child development background is a HUGE plus!

 

The candidate must have a reliable vehicle and should be able to consistently meet the needs of a diverse client population, and their families, while clearly articulating the clinical importance and purpose of services provided.

Compensation is competitive.
